Last evening, the family of the late Gulfport Mayor Ken Combs hosted the 2nd annual Ken Combs Pier Walk. It was a moving event held on Earth Day, the birthday of Mayor Combs. Ken Combs Jr. served as emcee and reminded us that God created this earth for us to enjoy, cherish, and share with our loved ones and fellow man. Sewer Installation Updates The Three Rivers Road closure continues this week. Gulfport is bringing sewer services to the residents on Cruthirds Road. This is an effort to complete installation of water and sewer services to unserviced areas and fulfill a nearly two decades old promise made during the annexation of the Orange Grove area.Two manholes have to be placed along Three Rivers Road to complete this effort resulting in the daily closure of Three Rivers Road. Boston Marathon Prayer Run

In support of those recovering from and in memoriam of those lost in the recent tragedy at the Boston Marathon, Lisa McCombs of Run-n-Tri and I coordinated a Prayer Run for Boston. The Mississippi Gulf Coast has experienced tragedy and shares the resolve and determination of Bostonians to be overcomers. The runners and walkers of the Coast united to show our support.
